Medical-Surgical Nursing

Specialized Nursing Areas
6-12 monthsComplete clinical rotations and coursework in specialized areas including maternal-newborn nursing, pediatric nursing, psychiatric/mental health nursing, and community health nursing. Develop skills unique to each population, including age-specific assessment techniques and specialized interventions.
Clinical Practicum and Capstone

NCLEX Preparation and Licensure
2-3 monthsPrepare systematically for the NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-PN licensure examination using review courses, practice questions, and content review. Focus on clinical judgment, prioritization, delegation, and pharmacology. Understand the Next Generation NCLEX item types including case studies and unfolding scenarios.
New Graduate Nurse Transition
12-18 monthsBegin your nursing career through a nurse residency or new graduate transition program. Develop clinical competence, refine time management and organizational skills, build confidence in independent decision-making, and establish a professional support network. Seek mentorship and engage in ongoing education.
Advanced Practice and Specialization
